COURSE FOR CAREERS
‘Courses for careers’ is at the heart of our mantra training students through high-quality teaching for sustainable careers. Our lecturers are trained professionals and industry experts with significant experience in their field and our teams are here to help you meet your career aspirations.
We do not base enrolment on prior attainment. We are fully funded from the Government for 16-18s, only a fee is paid towards kit and materials. Government rules require students that don’t hold a 4 or above in GCSE English and maths, or Functional Skills Level 2, to study this again alongside their vocational course, which we can accommodate at LCBT. We take into account predicted grades, personal statements and references when reviewing all applications.

LCBT provides the opportunity for thousands of young people, and adults to obtain the qualifications, skills required and the confidence to embark on a lifetime career in their chosen field. We work closely with leading employers to ensure the courses and curriculum that are taught directly meets the skills and recruitment needs of the industry.
We are proud that over 80% of our students’ progress onto higher education or into employment such as TV/Film, Salons/Spas, Cruise Ships, Gyms and Retail through the close links that LCBT’s in-house Job Shop has established with key employers and top brands in the industry. We also have a dedicated team to help students with CV writing and interview techniques to kick start their career.
We are looking for students that have passion in their chosen industry. We can teach the technical skills needed, develop your confidence and support you all the way. We welcome students from a variety of backgrounds and have a dedicated team to support any additional learning or welfare needs.
Work experience is invaluable to give you the skills and experience you need to secure your dream job. As part of our extensive enrichment programme you will be involved in external events, masterclasses, exhibitions, careers fairs and inspirational talks from experts in the industry.
LOCATION
Located in London’s Soho, the heart of central London is where the beauty, hair and make-up courses are trained using state of the art equipment. You will find us in between Carnaby Street and Oxford Circus. Fitness courses are offsite at our partner gym.
