University Profile

We’re proud that our commitment to high-quality teaching has been recognised with a TEF Gold rating. The University has received an overall rating of Gold, as well as securing a Gold award in the framework’s two new student experience and student outcomes categories.

Kingston provides the ideal study location. The university is located in the student-friendly riverside town of Kingston upon Thames, that’s just a short train ride from the centre of London.

A lot is happening at Kingston. Town House, located at our Penrhyn Road campus won the 2021 RIBA Stirling Prize for Britain’s best new building and the Mies van der Rohe Award in 2022. Town House provides outstanding study facilities for students, including a new library with over 1,000 study spaces, flexible learning areas, a covered courtyard, cafes, dance studios and rooftop gardens.

Embedded within every course curriculum and throughout the whole Kingston experience, Future Skills will play a role in shaping you to become a future-proof graduate, providing you with the skills most valued by employers such as problem-solving, digital competency, and adaptability. As you progress through your degree, you’ll learn to navigate, explore and apply these graduate skills, learning to demonstrate and articulate to employers how future skills give you the edge.

In seven of the past eight years, we’ve been ranked top or second in the UK for graduate start-ups (Higher Education Business and Community Interaction Survey), nurturing our budding entrepreneurs while at university and beyond.

Innovation extends into all areas of learning, to help you develop an enterprising mindset that will be crucial to success in your future career.

At Kingston, you’ll be connected to a range of activities aimed at helping you develop inside and outside of the classroom, from studying abroad to learning a new language with our free, Kingston Language Scheme. Some of the best things about going to university are all the clubs and societies that you can join, and at Kingston you can choose from over 70 of them.
